CRESS Center
The CRESS (Cooperative Research and Extension Services for Schools) Center creates, brokers, and delivers high quality, research-based programs and services that develop highly qualified teachers and other school professionals and that broadly serve all public schools, with a particular focus on historically underserved schools.
Center for Applied Policy in Education
The Center for Applied Policy in Education (CAP-Ed) provides nonpartisan, research-supported information and expertise from scholars, policymakers and practitioners to those making policy as well as to those who interpret and implement it. The Center facilitates the nexus between the worlds of research, policy, and practice, so that all can contribute to fostering a thoughtful, well-informed education system in California. CAP-Ed's proximity to the State Capitol, its depth of expertise in education and policy research, its commitment to equity for all of California's underrepresented students, its ability to draw on the intellectual resources of the UC system, and its strong record of working with those in schools, districts, the policy field and the research arena, place it in a unique position to make significant contributions to enhancing California education.
