Sierra North Arts Project (SNAP) presents…

The Pathways to Understanding the Arts Disciplines Institute (PUAD) is designed for K-8 classroom teachers. The PUAD Institute consists of 75 hours of instruction in the basic processes, techniques, skills and knowledge needed to begin teaching an arts discipline in the classroom.

This institute is offered in four blocks. Participation in all four blocks is required. The first block is July 12-17.

Early Registration by May 1: $700
After May 1, 2010: $900

Join Sierra North Arts Project this summer at UC Davis and walk the pathway of dance, music, theatre or visual arts!

Participants will:

  • Have hands-on, in-depth experience in an arts discipline
  • Receive and understand the organization and structure of the CA Visual and Performing Arts Framework and Content Standards
  • Create and implement a standards-based instructional unit in an arts discipline
  • Develop skills in assessing student work in the focus arts discipline

Registration and Dates

After May 1, 2010:  $900
