Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows the university to determine what types of financial aid and/or grants you qualify for. You can file your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The UC Davis school code is 001313
As a graduate student, be sure to file your FAFSA as an “independent” so your own, and not your parents’, income is considered for financial aid purposes
Under the “Degree or certificate” section you need to select Grad/Professional (not Teaching Credential)
After filing your FAFSA you will receive a SAR (Student Aid Report) summarizing the information you reported on your application. You should receive an email within a few days if you filed online and provided an email address.
To sign in to view your FAFSA you will need a pin. To apply for a pin or request a duplicate go to: www.pin.ed.gov.
Please note: March 2nd is the recommended deadline but you can submit your FAFSA after this date.
