The CRESS Center applies an inquiry-based approach to strengthen teaching. We house four of the region’s California Subject Matter Projects and operate a teacher research program. In each of these projects, teachers investigate their teaching, deepen their knowledge of subject matter content, and share their insights with peers. CRESS professional development programs also work collaboratively with all teachers in a school to build communities of practice and support systemic, whole school change.
