Course Equivalency Website Do the courses you have taken fulfill our prerequisites? Find answers here.
As you review the program prerequisites you may wonder if a course you have already completed will meet the prerequisite for fundamental math (required for multiple subject applicants only), educational psychology, and/or U.S. Constitution. You can find the answers here.
UC Davis’s Course Equivalency website allows you to search our records to determine if courses completed at other universities are equivalent to our program prerequisites or classes you will take during the credential year.
We utilize a color-coded system:
GREEN indicates courses have been reviewed and deemed ‘equivalent’ in content to our requirements.
YELLOW indicates a review is in process. You should be able to check back within a week for the determination.
ORANGE indicates that the course was previously deemed equivalent but too much time has elapsed since we evaluated the course. We need a current syllabus to evaluate whether the course as currently offered still meets the required content.
RED indicates courses have been reviewed and are NOT equivalent to our requirement.
If you have taken a course that you believe might be equivalent to a requirement and it is not listed on our site already, please submit a Course Inquiry Request. You can expect to be notified by email within 1-2 weeks whether your course is equivalent or not.
If you decide to take a course that requires test proctoring, Student Services provides this service to our admitted students at no cost in a low-noise environment. Please contact us for more information at (530) 752-5887 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that the Course Equivalency evaluation pertains only to the content required for a teaching credential and is not a resource to determine equivalency for our Education Minor courses.
