The City of Davis is located in California’s fertile central
valley, 12 miles west of the capital city of Sacramento and 75
miles east of the San Francisco Bay Area. The wineries of Sonoma
and the Napa Valley are about an hour’s drive to the northwest;
Lake Tahoe and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada are two hours
to the east, and the seacoast towns of Mendocino and Santa Cruz
are about 150 miles to the north or south, respectively.
The Student Services Office assists a variety of clients that
include prospective applicants to our programs, current students,
staff within SOE and from campus, and faculty members.
Responsibilities of the Student Services Office in the School of
Education are to manage our programs admission process, ensure
compliance of degree and credential requirements, assist faculty,
and answer general questions. Our primary functions include:
Management of Admissions Process and provide information to
prospective applicants
Advise current students on all facets of their program
Assist and provide support to faculty in the management of
our programs
Resource to campus community and general public
Analysis of data including admissions, time to degree, and
projections
We are located in the School of Education Building, Room 106.
Our building is on the corner of First and A Streets, near
Olson Hall.

Our Peer Advising drop-in hours are offered during the Fall,
Winter, and Spring quarters. Spring 2013 hours are:
Mondays: 2-4pm
Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 3-5pm
Thursdays: 11-1pm
Fridays: 12-2pm
