Gifts to the School’s Annual Fund provide the foundation for our philanthropic program and strengthen all of the School’s activities, from offering top quality academic programs and student support to providing programs, advice and expertise to youth, community leaders, and policymakers throughout the state and nation.
We are pleased to share some of the ways our Annual Fund is making an impact this year:
Scholarship support to PhD students like Aaron Lanser and credential students like Krishna Borja-Cruz so they can focus on conducting their research and becoming masterful teachers.
Programmatic funding for the Reading and Academic Development (RAD) Center, allowing more families receive sliding-scale assessment and evidence-based interventions for their children with reading comprehension problems, including children with autism.
Funding for the American Center for Teaching Shakespeare (ACTS) in the Classroom so that teaching credential candidates could participate in a fellowship program to learn how to apply active learning techniques to teaching Shakespeare.
Support for Words Take Wing, an annual event that brings regional schoolchildren to campus to experience live storytelling, learn about cultural diversity, and develop a love of writing and children’s literature.
By making a gift to the School of Education Annual Fund, you help the School support our faculty and students, continue programs that have far-reaching impact throughout our community, and provide high-quality education to the next generation of teachers. Help us continue to create new opportunities for our students and faculty by giving back today. Please make your gift to the Annual Fund today.
