Teaching Credential Admissions and Financial Aid

Teaching Credential Program Admissions

The Teacher Education-Credential/MA program supports equal opportunity and seeks to enroll a diverse class of highly motivated students.  What we are looking for is intellectual potential to undertake a rigorous program, values that are consistent with being a teacher, and demonstrated knowledge of the teaching profession.

Applicants are urged to familiarize themselves with the prerequisite and admission deadlines by reviewing our website and attending one of our Information Sessions.

The admission prerequisites and requirement details listed on our website now were for admission to the 2018-19 year.  While we do not anticipate major changes, please consider these as a guide and be sure to check back as they could change before this year’s admission cycle opens in late September.

We recently completed a reorganization of our course schedule and the information below reflects changes resulting from this reorganization.

The teaching credential/M.A. program can be completed in less than two years.  The teaching credential program begins in August and ends in June (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring quarters).  Upon earning a teaching credential, students may choose to complete the M.A. in two additional part-time quarters (Fall and Winter).
