TJE seeks to disrupt racial inequities in education by:
- Building justice-centered collaborations and networks of
educators, researchers, activists, practitioners, parents,
students, attorneys, policymakers and administrators.
- Researching and utilizing transformative and equity-oriented
theories, practices, and methods such as restorative justice and
humanizing research.
- Creating a pipeline of future teachers and educators who are
cognizant of racial inequities and prepared to transform public
education and learning communities.
By acting upon all three, we will create quality, engaging,
accessible, and humanizing learning spaces and opportunities for
historically marginalized students of color.
