Teaching Credential/MA

Earn Your Credential and M.Ed.

Overview

Prepare to become a highly qualified teacher in just one year with the UC Davis Teacher Education Program. Earn your Master of Education (M.Ed.) and teaching credential with the support of experienced course instructors, resident teachers in your K-12 classroom placements, a teaching supervisor, and a close-knit cohort of students in your subject area.

Our four-quarter program combines rigorous UC Davis coursework with hands-on teaching placements in diverse urban, suburban, and rural K-12 school districts throughout the Sacramento region. UC Davis Teacher Education Program graduates are highly sought-after by Northern California school districts.

We offer five single subject credentials for students who want to teach at the middle and high school levels, a multiple subject credential for those who want to teach in elementary schools, and bilingual authorizations in Spanish and Mandarin.

“I really have fond memories of the professors in the program. It has been an incredible experience and I’m so thankful for the opportunity that UC Davis has given me.”
