The Education minor is open to all UC Davis undergraduates. The
minor offers an introduction to educational theory, research, and
practice, and gives students the opportunity to engage in
fieldwork in local schools and the community.
Students must complete 20 units the minor program in Education.
Twelve of the 20-unit minimum are covered by the three required
courses listed below. The remaining 8 elective units of
coursework may be selected from approved courses in Education
(see the full listing of undergraduate
education courses) or from other approved electives.
Build a foundation of knowledge for those who plan to earn a
teaching credential, enter a profession that focuses on working
with people, or an advanced degree in Education (or related
field). The minor will allow you to access the resources offered
by the School of Education: internship and research
opportunities, current developments in educational research and
policy, events related to education. Students will receive a
transcript notation upon completion of the minor.
