Education Graduate Student Association Makes Gift to Power of 10 Scholarship Fund

Inspired by the generosity of alumni, faculty, staff and students who have already given to the School’s Power of 10 Scholarship Fund, the Education Graduate Student Association (EdGSA)  made a gift of $450 to the fund — $1 for each current student in the School of Education. Their hope was that others will be inspired to give for a total that could multiply their gift by the Power of 10, or $4,500.

“EdGSA decided to give to the Power of 10 Scholarship Fund on behalf of every student currently enrolled in the School of Education. We made this gift out of appreciation for the exceptional educational experience we are benefiting from at UC Davis and a belief in the importance of expanding access to this program to others who are dedicated to the improvement of our education system. We hope our gift will inspire others in the UC Davis community to contribute to this important cause. We value the experiences we have had in this program, including the opportunity to learn from thoughtful and capable colleagues and to work with faculty who are on the cutting-edge of educational research. We want to be part of the effort to extend this rich educational experience to more students.” – EdGSA officers
