Abstract
How do you get students to think more deeply? How do you reveal student thinking in an age of multiple-choice tests? This workshop offers a way to integrate writing into mathematics by using Problems of the Week as a means to analyze students’ thinking. Participants will solve problems, and write about how they solved the problem. Student work will be examined and discussed so that their thinking about key topics in mathematics is revealed. Travel with the presenter as she describes her journey and reveals how she successfully uses adopted curriculum in a way that’s sure to make learning meaningful!
