Renewable Energy Systems Opportunity for Unified Research Collaboration and Education (RESOURCE – GK12)

This 5-year project pairs graduate students with 5th and 6th grade teachers and their students to: (a) improve graduate students’ communication skills and exposure to non-technical audiences; (b) provide classroom teachers with access to cutting edge research projects and expertise with which to engage their students; © provide k-12 students with scientists in residence; and d) create a new STEM curriculum related to renewable resources.  Data collection includes web-based surveys, interviews/reflection statements, observations and review of secondary data (e.g. student assessments,  new curriculum, graduate student persistence and retention).
