Undergraduate GPA Requirements

One of the requirements for admission to the Masters/Credential program is an undergrad GPA of at least 3.0.

If your undergrad cumulative GPA is below 3.0, we can evaluate your transcripts based on your last two years of undergrad work or upper division coursework to see if either of these options results in a GPA of 3.0 or higher. If this evaluation indicates a GPA of 3.0, we will consider this adjusted GPA on your application.

If the re-evaluation does not result in a 3.0 GPA, you may still apply to the program requesting an exception to the GPA requirement. You will need to submit three letters of academic recommendation to the Student Services office in order for your application to be considered. Please be aware that only a handful of exceptions to the GPA requirement are made each year. These exceptions are usually requested in hard to fill credential areas or for a student who has an exceptional or highly unique background. The Dean of Graduate Studies makes the final decision about offering admissions to applicants whose GPA is below 3.0.

If you would like an evaluation of your GPA completed, please submit transcript copies to Student Services requesting an evaluation. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
