Critical Issues – Budget and Finance

On January 10th, Governor Brown released his proposed budget for 2011-12. For K-12 education, the proposal, is primarily dependent on the voter approval in a special election of continued temporary revenues. In addition, the proposal calls for another deferral- delaying the payment of $2 billion from 2011-12 and 2012-13.
