Salary Range

“Off-scale salaries” and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience. A reasonable estimated salary range for this position is $80,800 - $156,500, inclusive of the salary scale and off-scale salary components.

Position Description

The School of Education at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure-track open rank position in the area of higher education. We seek applicants who bring critical insights on higher education research through the use of innovative approaches. We are especially interested in scholars who focus on postsecondary educational leadership, student affairs/student development, or organizational behavior.

Responsibilities: Conducting and maintaining a productive program of higher education research; seeking extramural support for research and graduate student support; teaching graduate and undergraduate courses (e.g., in person, online, hybrid, and some weekends); providing mentorship and research guidance to master’s and doctoral (EdD and PhD) students; and serving on School and University committees.

The School of Education serves four programs: an undergraduate minor, credential and master’s in teacher education, PhD, and the Capital Area North Doctorate in Educational Leadership (CANDEL) EdD program. The School of Education offers five Ph.D. emphasis areas, including Language, Literacy, and Culture; Learning and Mind Sciences, Mathematics Education, Science and Agricultural Education, and School Organization and Educational Policy. In addition, we are home to six centers and various research projects.
