About the Collective

The LDA Collective enhances community, collaboration, dialogue, and student-led action research with a diverse collective of undergraduate, graduate, and community members with a commitment towards anti-racism, decolonization, and justice. Activities include:

  • A speaker series, started in Spring 2023, with community leaders, former UC Davis alumni, and faculty in the School of Education.
  • A book club dedicated to reading more about abolition, decolonization, and liberation.
  • Community action and collective research projects.
  • Weekly group meetings in the School of Education Building. 
  • Weekly committee meetings to plan events and share ideas. 

The LDA Collective is a UC Davis campus-affiliated organization, and the faculty sponsor is Dr. Danny Martinez.
