Rody Boonchouy
Superintendent, Winters Joint Unified School District (Ed.D. ’14)
Rody Boonchouy has served as the Superintendent of Winters Joint Unified School District since 2022, after having served for five years as the Associate Superintendent of Instructional Services for the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD). He started his career in public education as an English teacher in DJUSD, served on the founding team for Da Vinci Charter Academy, and later served as the Principal of Da Vinci Charter Academy.
Boonchouy also served with the Buck Institute for Education for 11 years, first as a national faculty member and later as Senior Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships. He has been a member of the Concurrence Committee of the California Subject Matter Project, Office of the Governor, since 2012, and a member of the California Practitioners Advisory Group with the California State Board of Education since 2022.
Boonchouy earned his BA in English from UC Berkeley, two Master’s degrees in Education (UC Riverside, University of La Verne), and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UC Davis.
