Sharon was a professor of mathematics education in the School of Education and a pioneer in researching and implementing software to enhance math teaching and learning. The generation of students whose careers are in math education thanks to Sharon’s dedicated and careful mentoring represent the best memorial for her that we can imagine. Her husband, Owen LeGare, requests that you share your remembrances of Sharon with him at olegare@gmail.com. A celebration of Sharon’s life, including a dance, will be held on May 29.
