Mandeep Kaur Sahota

Mandeep Sahota is the Content Coordinator of the Teachers College Internship Program at the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, where she leads innovative teacher preparation programs grounded in equity, culturally responsive pedagogy, and research-based instructional practices. A doctoral candidate in the UC Davis CANDEL program, her research examines the experiences of Sikh students in secular high school settings and investigates how educators can create culturally responsive environments for non-Western religious identities. Her career spans K–12 teaching, teacher education, and educational leadership, reflecting a steadfast commitment to advancing equity and representation in the teaching workforce. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her master’s degree in Education, along with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, from UC San Diego.
