Teacher and Alumnus Paul Dilley Gives Back to Students through Power of 10 Scholarship Fund

Paul Dilley (Credential ‘87, MA ‘86), a community college history instructor, has made a gift to the Power of 10 Scholarship Fund to literally pay it forward in support of future teachers and educators.

When a credential student himself, Dilley received financial support that helped him realize his dreams to be a teacher. So he knows the power even a small gift can have on a student’s ability to study and practice the art of teaching without having to worry about the bills.

“I enjoy giving to the Power of 10 Scholarship Fund because I know it can really make a difference for students. When I was in the credential program back in 1986-1987, I received two small scholarships. That financial boost really helped. To a fellow alum considering a gift to the fund I would say, ‘Yes, donate!’  I am sure that current credential candidates will be very appreciative, allowing them to worry less about finances and to concentrate on their studies and their student teaching.”
