Classroom Improvement Project
Transforming outdated classrooms into 21st century learning spaces
Responding to student input, in 2019 the School of Education Board of Advisors launched a campaign to support a Classroom Improvement Project to revitalize our aging physical learning environments into dynamic, modern spaces.
As a result of generous philanthropic investments, by 2022 we had successfully transformed three classrooms into 21st century instructional and technologically forward research spaces that invite collaboration and innovation for our exceptional faculty and students.

Academic Surge, Room 2363, completed October

Renamed The PowerSchool and Microsoft Digital Learning Lab after the generous donors who funded renovations, this lab now provides teaching credential students with access to the training and tools they need, including state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and leading education software solutions.

Renovations to the Instructional Learning Lab were made possible by numerous individual donors who responded to our students’ request for upgraded classroom environments.

This fully renovated and upgraded classroom was named the Sandi Redenbach and Ken Gelatt Learning Lab in honor of longtime supporters Sandi Redenbach (’72, Cred. ’73) and Ken Gelatt (’67, Cred. ’68) whose generous gift made renovations possible.
