A brief introduction to the Master's Program
The final component of the M.A. associated with the teaching credential is designed to support and extend the implementation of concepts learned in 206A and 206B within the context of students’ first teaching assignments. The inquiry is classroom based and targets the connection between teaching and learning. You will become members of a section-based teacher research group, will be expected to actively pursue classroom-based inquiry from the beginning of the school year, and will turn in periodic written assignments on their research. You will present the results of your research on your scheduled Symposium day towards the end of winter quarter, followed by the submission of your final study.
