Alicia Rusoja Presents at International Conference

Four women wearing name tags and badges pose together for a photoAlicia Rusoja was an invited international speaker in the Expo Educación Medellín 2024, which took place in Medellín, Colombia from August 17-19, 2024. The event was attended by 4,800 people, including students, teachers, scholars, and other civil society actors interested in topics on gathering, Im(Possible) Education, and an equitable and inclusive education system. While at the event, Rusoja was also interviewed by the Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA) radio station for their segment ”Programa 30: El futuro de la educación es ahora,” (“Episode 30: The future of education is now”).

Rusoja was one of four speakers on the panel “Educar, Migrar y Transformar: Escuela Incluyente y Equitativa” (“Education, Migration and Transformation: Inclusive and Equitable Schools”). Her fellow panelists included Subsecretario de Educación Distrito Medellín Jorge Ivan Rios Rivera, USAID Education Specialist Juan Reyes, and Professor Ignacio Rivas of Universidad de Málaga. The session was moderated by Professor Hilda Mar Rodriguez Gomez of UdeA’s School of Education.
