COVID-19 State of Emergency Ends
Campus enters a new chapter in public health policies and approach
Updated March 30, 2023
Please take note that UC Davis has ended its interim public health policies related to COVID-19. See the chancellor’s message for more details about this new chapter.
Changes to the policy include:
- The Daily Symptom Survey will no longer be used.
- Everyone is strongly encouraged to report positive cases of COVID-19, but reporting is no longer required.
- Testing is only recommended if you’re feeling sick, and the university is still distributing antigen kits free in several locations on campus.
- There are no longer restrictions on events or expectations for campus visitors or volunteers related to COVID-19.
Remaining requirements and recommended actions:
- Stay home if you’re sick.
- The initial vaccine series is still required for students and employees.
- COVID-19 boosters are required under policy but can be waived through a declination form in Health-e-Messaging.
- Keep yourself and others healthy with recommended behaviors.
- Wear a face covering in human healthcare settings.
