View our Tips for Passing the CSET

If you need to take the CSET exam(s) to meet your Subject Matter Requirement (SMR), it is in your best interest to test as early as possible.  All required CSET exams need to be taken no later than May 1st with registration and/or results provided to the program.  Test results typically take at least one month to be released. We will consider exceptions if extenuating circumstances prevent you from meeting these test timelines. Please contact Student Services at eduadvising@ucdavis.edu with any questions.

Please note: Applicants will need to pay for the exams when they register but will receive a refund after taking the exam.

Evidence to upload to online application:
  • If you have taken the CSET exam, upload your score results.
  • If you are registered to take the CSET exam, upload your registration confirmation email that shows your test date(s) and which subtest(s) you are taking.
