In March, more than 50 student researchers from Hanoi Agriculture University (HUA) and Nong Lam University in Vietnam presented the results of research they conducted as part of a six-month program led by Cary Trexler, associate professor of agriculture education.
The work was the culmination of a one-year grant awarded by the Vietnam Education Foundation to Trexler and his colleague Glenn Young from the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The grant supported the establishment of a participatory research class in Vietnam, for Vietnamese undergraduates, toguide them through projects related to pre-harvest, postharvest, food science, crop science and food safety. The students presented their research at two symposia hosted by the Vietnamese universities. Read the full article.
