New quarter, new faces
Welcoming Rebecca VanArnam
We’ve started this fall quarter welcoming returning students and new students alike. It’s always a busy and exciting time at the Center for Community and Citizen Science, and with the addition of our new graduate student, Rebecca VanArnam, we are hitting the ground running with classes and projects.
Get to know Rebecca:
Rebecca is a PhD student at the School of Education. She has been an environmental educator for 6 years, working in classrooms and outdoors along the east coast. Her research interests explore how youth-focused community and citizen science contribute to conservation efforts, particularly ESL Youth. Becca graduated from the University of Miami with her degrees in Marine Science & Biology (B.S.) and Spanish (B.A.).
We’re looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Rebecca’s graduate school journey!
