Collabinar Series
We developed the CCS Collabinar as a way to collaborate with
others on exciting challenges and opportunities in community and
citizen science. This occasional, informal series provides a
space for people to both present their work and engage with
others. Our presenters will give brief presentations, but the
focus is on working through challenges, design opportunities,
mutual learning, and exploring potential collaboration. These
events are open to all. See our upcoming events here.
Lab Group
The Center’s Lab Group meets weekly to discuss a wide range of
topics, including community and citizen
science, environmental and science education,
conservation, and environmental justice. Sessions may
involve a formal presentation, or collaborative
discussion. This is a great venue to gain constructive
feedback or advice on your work, or to learn about what’s going
on at the Center! These meetings are open to all. For more
information on the Lab Group, please contact us.
Internships
The Center frequently offers internships for students at UC
Davis. Student interns complete tasks that support the Center’s
research projects and programming. Interns receive mentorship
from staff to gain professional experience in working with a
team, properly using communication tools, coordinating tasks
within deadlines, and developing project management skills.
Interns have the opportunity to lead aspects of projects that
result in conference presentations, posters, or other products.
Open undergraduate internships will be posted here. Graduate internships may be available by
special request, please contact
us.
Graduate students
Prospect graduate students interested in our work can primarily
get involved with us through the UC Davis School of
Education. Graduate student opportunities through other UC Davis
departments are considered by special request. For more
information about graduate student opportunities, please contact us.
Fellowship
The Community and Citizen Science in Conservation Fellowship
supports UC Davis graduate students across disciplines
to integrate participatory methods in
their research. Find the latest updates by visiting
