1. Submit FAFSA or DREAM Act Application
DEADLINE: March 2nd
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows the university to determine what types of financial aid and/or grants you qualify for. You can file your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- The UC Davis school code is 001313
- As a graduate student, be sure to file your FAFSA as an “independent” so your own, and not your parents’, income is considered for financial aid purposes
- Under the “Degree or certificate” section you need to select Grad/Professional (not Teaching Credential)
After filing your FAFSA you will receive a SAR (Student Aid Report) summarizing the information you reported on your application. You should receive an email within a few days if you filed online and provided an email address.
To sign in to view your FAFSA you will need a pin. To apply for a pin or request a duplicate go to: www.pin.ed.gov.
March 2nd is the recommended deadline but you can submit your FAFSA after this date.
