Muki Haklay, Professor of Geographic Information Science at the University College London, led a presentation addressing how training in citizen science is developed and considerations for developing citizen science focused graduate programs.

  • How do we create training programs that maintain a pluralistic understanding of citizen science?
  • How do we manage the ethical contradictions of professionalizing citizen science-who might be the losers?
