Undergraduate Research in the Field of Social Science

School of Education graduate students Sattik Ghosh, Dylan Hawksworth Lutzow and Valeria Zunino have created a set of three short videos to help you get started. The first video introduces undergraduates to the world of social science research and explains why it’s helpful to get research experience as an undergraduate. The second video provides a brief overview of the different approaches used in social science research.

There are many strategies for getting youth involved in community and citizen science in ways that promote learning. Through in-depth case studies of diverse youth community and citizen science projects, the School of Education’s Center for Community and Citizen Science has documented youth-centered practices that are effective in promoting learning and environmental science agency—the ability to use experiences in citizen science and environmental science to make positive change in one’s life and community.

School of Education Teacher Job Fairs Launch Careers
Each spring, over 100 students meet with representatives from more than 30 school districts throughout the Bay Area. And students don’t just pick up materials and chat with representatives—they also have job interviews that same day, with some receiving contract offers before they go home.
