“I loved that you shared real lessons in
your videos. I enjoyed it greatly and have implemented a few.
Impact continues to grow with this workshop and be here for all
these wonderful families and kiddos to teach them. Join this
workshop. It provides a world of fantastic knowledge teachers who
have honestly been in the classrooms and know what it’s like to
teach this.”

cuenta a mis estudiantes EL. También tengo que priorizar tiempo
designado para mis EL’s. He utilizado lo que aprendido en BBILY
en mis lecciones de inglés y español.“
“BBILY me ha enseñado nuevos andamios y
estrategias para ayudar a mis esutdiantes. Yo recomiendo BBILY a
BBILY me ayudó a sentir
segura en mi propria clase.“

“The most useful for me was the social
justice lesson. I like the way the model broke the
instruction down into key steps for the lesson plan, integrating
content from multiple modes, videos, texts, and other graphic
organizers. The scaffolding provided by the lesson modules
is super helpful, to see it in action, an actual teacher
utilizing the lesson plan. It makes the idea of doing a
social justice unit a lot more accessible. Breaking down
the material into steps that are digestible makes the content
easy to digest and memorable. I look forward to using this
social justice planning model in my next classroom. I can
see ways to intersect with social studies, math, and science
content – I love using books and read-alouds to provide students
engaging ways to access the subject matter
content.“
“I also loved the book club mini-lesson that
had the prompting cards. I will definitely be using that -
I am sure it will lead to a respectful and interesting small
group discussion in my next classroom.“
”I was able to use the book club
prompts in a “book-interview” that I did impromptu with my focus
student on a weekly trip to the school library. The book
club prompts were great and he and I had a great discussion about
one of his favorite books, we focused on “perspective taker” and
“community connector”. He is a great storyteller, very
creative in his responses, and really enjoyed the
conversation. The next time we went to the library, he ran
to get a book, and asked me if we were going to do book
interviews again, so clearly he enjoyed it!
