CANDEL Faculty Directory

CANDEL faculty members are drawn from the School of Education’s faculty and are committed to supporting the needs and interests of the working professionals in our program. They represent a wide variety of research interests, including digital learning, educational assessment and measurement, K-12 and postsecondary alignment, Hispanic serving institutions, and learning and professional development for K-12 teachers.

Alicia Rusoja Joins School of Education Faculty

Dr. Alicia Rusoja joined the School of Education faculty as an assistant professor in July 2022. She studies the literacy, teaching and learning practices of Latinx immigrants organizing for their own and others’ human rights. Among other research projects, Rusoja is in the second year of a five-year study on the impact of COVID-19 on the educational, literacy and organizing practices of Latinx immigrants in South Philadelphia.

We also welcomed back alumni who had missed the opportunity to attend in-person graduation ceremonies in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
