Development and External Relations works to generate external support, particularly philanthropic support, for the strategic priorities of the School of Education. The DER team’s functions include development, alumni relations and government relations. They support the School’s academic programs, and its research, service and outreach initiatives in a variety of ways, including:

• Building philanthropic support through the direct efforts of DER staff, as well as by providing consultation to and support of the fundraising efforts of SOE faculty and staff
• Connecting SOE faculty and staff with people and organizations, including alumni, community members and potential funders, to foster collaboration and partnership in pursuit of shared goals
