The UC Davis teacher education program utilizes an integrated
model where student teaching and university coursework occur
simultaneously. Through coursework, credential candidates expand
their knowledge base in their content area, acquire dynamic
teaching methods, and become well versed in educational theories
which you will practice during your student teaching. You can
find more information on student teaching here.
The program combines earning your teaching credential with your
Masters of Arts in Education over 6 quarters. For most
students, this consists of 3 full time and 3 part time
quarters. For our Agriculture students, this consists of 4
full time and 2 part time quarters. The sequence of courses
you will need to complete may change from year to year, the links
below will give you a good idea of the coursework required to
earn your teaching credential.
