The future of California’s economy and the strength of its
communities depend on our public schools. Today, however, a
critical shortfall in the number and quality of teachers in our
science and math classrooms threatens that future. Our science
credential program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills
to promote high quality, engaging, practice-based science
education for California’s diverse classrooms.
The coursework during the first year is focused and intensive,
enabling you to complete the courses and student-teaching
component required for the Teaching Credential in less than a
year. To view a list of the courses you will take, please click
